“I first heard about the SLCF through West Berkshire’s Every Child a Talker initiative. I have completed the Universal and Enhanced levels as part of a group but I intend to use the framework again as an individual as I found it very useful.
Using the SLCF has had a strong impact on my CPD as it highlighted gaps in my knowledge and, as a result, I have been able to take part in training in some of these areas. It has reinforced my confidence in my practice which has led to me seeking further information to expand my knowledge to make full use of my strengths. It has also increased my confidence in my skills in supporting children’s speech, language and communication, and I have decided to study for a qualification in this area to enhance those skills further.”
